Pragmatic Marketing has released an excellent article comparing the costs of Software as a Service versus Software as a Product.
ToolHound Online is our Software as a Service offering where the software licensing, support and hosting are provided for an annual fee. ToolHound Onsite is offered as a product license in the traditional sense.
